Free style season is a slightly different rule set from school/folk/collegiate(all the same thing). Free style is centered around take downs. Once a person is down you have 10 seconds to pin or turn/roll your opponent. You can lock hands to return your opponent. Most of the time if the opponent cannot be rolled the ref starts the participants back on their feet. As you can imagine kids are starting in neutral or on their feet position a lot so wrestlers that participate in freestyle tend to get very good at takedowns. The match is wrestled with 2, 3min(2min for u15) rounds with a 30sec break in between.
